ONE NATION WORKING TOGETHER

March and Rally United to Fight for the American Dream
October 2, 2010 - Washington, DC

Our nation stands at a critical crossroads and we can't afford to sit back. Working people can make a difference when we rely on ourselves and act collectively. We are America. And together we will make our voices heard. On October 2, hundreds of thousands of average Americans will descend upon Washington, DC to make a loud, clear and powerful statement:
We demand the change we voted for in 2008.
We demand a government and an economy that works for everyone in America.
We won't settle for less – and we're not going anywhere.
The Utility Workers Union of America will be there in numbers and in strength, in an unprecedented show of force.
Contact your local union to find out how you can join with other UWUA members from across the country. We will arrive in our nation’s capital in buses, in vans, in car pools, standing together and sending our message loud and clear.
The march and rally have been called by One Nation Working Together, a new coalition of organizations across the progressive spectrum that has come together to fight back – to put America back to work and to pull America back together. The purpose of the rally is to unite workers, trade unionists, students, retirees, and all Americans of good will to stop the assault of hate that is being pedaled to divide this country and deter us from our goals. It will show that we are many and diverse – but strong and united and together we WILL fight for the American Dream.
